About Massage Therapy
All of our Massage Therapists at Performance are Registered Massage Therapists. Massage therapy involves the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body,
including muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints. It can prevent and help alleviate discomforts associated with everyday and occupational stresses, as well as muscular overuse and many chronic pain conditions. Everyone from athletes to executives and people of all ages can benefit. Massage helps restore normal functioning of the body by improving circulation and flexibility while decreasing musculo-skeletal tension and pain. In stress related conditions, it can relieve tension headaches and reduce the physical effects of occupational stress and fatigue. It has an overall tonic effect on the body and promotes a general feeling of well-being, aiding in relaxation. Our RMTs are fully equipped to comfortably accommodate prenatal or pregnancy massage with the aid of a pregnancy cushion.
