Orthotics
Orthotics are custom-made shoe inserts designed to support and correct improper movement of your feet. When you have correct foot biomechanics there is stress taken off the feet, ankles, knees, hips and low back. Our Orthotics are custom made specifically for your feet and to fit your particular needs.
We use the latest computerized technology to make a customized orthotic from a computerized gait scan. The Footmaxx Metascan Gait and Pressure Analysis System provides us with a unique, dynamic analysis tool for the diagnosis of aberrant foot functions. The 8-point analysis gives specific information on the distribution and timings of pressure through the different areas of the foot and compares them to normal function. Some insurance companies do however require that a plaster cast be taken of your foot and we are able to provide this along with a scan.
Common abnormal foot functions and conditions that respond well to customized orthotics
